File Manager: Organize and Share
Bring Zen into all your file organization and collaboration endeavors using Collections in File Manager. Increase your efficiency by grouping files with a specific purpose together for quick access in File Manager or MyFiles. Boost the productivity of your team by sharing your collections for reuse. Control the access to shared collections by providing viewing or managing rights.
Custom Header Links
The desktop navigation of your App and Intranet gets more efficient and personalized with Custom Header Links! Add any menu item or link of your choice to the desktop header, and create a personalized navigation experience for your employees by defining the visibility. To ensure a sleek Intranet look, display as many as four custom header links. All of this is possible with the Quick Links API.

Opening Links in an External Browser on the Mobile App
- To ensure a seamless user experience, editors can now use the toggle in Link Tiles and List widgets to allow links to open in an external browser on iOS and Android devices. This makes it easier for users to access websites, such as single sign-on pages, which in-app browsers often block due to security restrictions.
Improved Photo Library Access for iOS
- When creating posts in News on iOS devices, app access to the photo library has been improved by adapting to the latest Apple technology.
Improved Secure Media
- The improved version of Secure Media provides all newly uploaded media files with a heightened level of protection across multiple layers. While retaining the familiar look and feel of Secure Media, the enhanced version offers not only authorized access to media files but also a more streamlined handling of media URLs and APIs. Bookmark News Posts Directly From News Feed and News Stage Widgets
- For desktop devices, we improved the bookmarking of news posts. Users can now bookmark news posts directly from the News Feed widget and the News Stage widget without having to open the news posts. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Staffbase Support to activate this improvement.
SAML Domain Hints for Enhanced User Experience
- If you use SAML SSO, you can now display the SAML domain hints. These hints help to prevent users from attempting to authenticate with domains that are not used for SSO with the Staffbase platform. This functionality works with Microsoft Entra ID as the Identity provider (IdP) and may be compatible with other IdPs. Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to enable this feature.

Recent Posts on User Profile
- With the redesigned user profile page, users can effortlessly boost engagement and community visibility. Now, access your own or another's user profile page to see the most recent posts. This functionality streamlines locating your and others' recent engagement with news posts, offering a quicker alternative to searching posts by their author. Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to activate this feature.
Multiple Image Upload on Mobile Devices in Chat, News, and Pages
- Mobile users can now upload up to 10 images at once on Chat, Update and Article posts, and Pages.
Change Personal Email Address
- Users can now change their personal email addresses themselves from the account settings of their App or Intranet without contacting support. Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to activate this feature. Learn more.

- SAP Fiori plugin to be replaced
Starting July 31, 2024, the SAP Fiori plugin will no longer be offered. If you use the plugin, we strongly recommend transitioning to one of the following:- Embedded Pages plugin

- SHA-1 signature algorithm setting for SAML Integrations to be discontinued

App and Intranet Improvements
- In Pages, the design of the language chooser has been updated. Now, when adding new languages to a page, the process for choosing the type of translation is more streamlined and consistent with the language chooser in News posts. Additionally, you can add or delete multiple languages at once. If you have the improved multi-language chooser activated, this improvement is available to you. Learn more.
App and Intranet Bugfixes
- In certain cases, uploading videos to the platform resulted in errors in processing. This has been fixed.
Bugfixes
- In the News Stage widget, activating the Show Channel Name toggle caused the app to crash on clicking the channel name. This has been fixed.
- On Android devices, when selecting a tab in the search results page in the mobile browser, the search bar disappeared, and the search could not be canceled. This has been fixed.

- Uploading videos to the Staffbase platform sometimes resulted in the error message "An unknown error occurred". This has been fixed.
- In the user profile, it was not possible to save edits when the avatar or header image was removed. This has been fixed.

- Clicking on a channel title within the News Stage widget caused the app to reload. This has been fixed.
- In Chat, on Android devices, the application crashed when a user opened a photo in SVG format. This has been fixed.

App and Intranet Improvements
- It is now possible to bookmark news posts directly from the News Feed and News Stage widgets without opening the post. Bookmarked news posts are accessible under Bookmarks in the individual users' profile menu. Currently available for desktop only. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Staffbase Support to activate this improvement.
- On the redesigned User Profile, with the Microsoft Teams Collaboration feature activated, the Teams dropdown now only appears on the profile of users with a valid Microsoft email as their public email address and have their Microsoft 365 accounts connected to Staffbase.
- In News, using the improved multi-language selector, you can now add all platform content languages at once when creating new news post translations.
App and Intranet Bugfixes
- In News, when secure media was enabled on desktop, images could not be attained while generating an RSS feed for specific news channels. This has been fixed.
- On Pages in the Public Area, when secure media was enabled, files did not display the first time the page was accessed. This has been fixed.

- In the Studio, the security feature that allows administrators to sign out all users in case of a security incident has been improved. Now, before signing out all users, an administrator has to explicitly confirm the action. This improvement ensures that users are not signed out unintentionally.

- Under Settings > System, the Organization page has been removed. You can no longer delete your organization permanently from your App or Intranet.

Employee Email Improvements
- In Employee Email, the styling of bullets and numbers in lists has been improved. They are now uniformly formatted in black, providing a more seamless user experience.
