Mobile Podcast Player
The Mobile Podcast Player allows mobile device users to listen to podcasts and other audio files on the go. Now, users can continue to listen to the audio while scrolling through their Employee App, using different apps, or even while their phone is locked. Easily pause or close the audio from the mini-player and also skip through parts of a podcast even on the lock screen.
Search for Staffbase News in SharePoint
Introducing Staffbase PnP Modern Search Extensibility Library that leverages the capabilities of the PnP Modern Search web part and the Staffbase News API to bring search-based experiences for Staffbase news content within SharePoint. Redefine the search experience for your users by creating a search hub for Staffbase News, customizing the standard layouts of Staffbase news posts based on their custom design and more.
Hashtags Tab in Analytics Dashboard
The new Hashtags tab in the Analytics dashboard is available for beta testing! Clearly see how your employees interact with hashtags used in individual news posts, pages, and comments. Dive into posts, visitors, and click metrics with the easy-to-use lists, and explore individual hashtags in greater detail with the link to the hashtag results page.
Org Chart on New User Profile
The organizational chart provides employees with a comprehensive overview of their organization's structure. Employees can identify managers, direct colleagues, and subordinates from their user profiles or jump from the org chart of one user to another by clicking on a displayed profile.

The Audio Player for Pages and News article channels is now automatically available to all web app customers. Your employees can now easily listen to podcasts, audio clips, and other audio files directly within their Intranet. Learn more.

Public Area Tracking in the Analytics Dashboard
- Metrics for unregistered users are available again in the Analytics dashboard! This allows you to view how content is accessed in the Public Area. Learn more.
- After activation, the Registered/Unregistered Users filter is available again at the top of the News and Content tabs.
- The filter does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or other individual tracking methods.
- Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to activate Public Area tracking in the Analytics dashboard.

New Location for Translation Button in News Posts
The on-demand translation button is now located at the top of news posts for improved visibility and access to quick translations. Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to activate it.

New Location for Sign-In Button in Public Area
In the Public Area, the sign-in button to sign into your App or Intranet is now located at the top of the side navigation for improved usability. Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to activate it.
Deprecation
- Staffbase News Sync will soon be replaced with Staffbase Power Automate for SharePoint.
- Staffbase News Sync for SharePoint will no longer be supported, starting December 1, 2023.
- If you use the integration, we strongly recommend transitioning to Power Automate instead. Synchronizing your SharePoint News to Staffbase via Power Automate offers a variety of advantages. Learn more.
- Staffbase no longer supports SSO authentication of users with OpenID. To learn more about supported identity protocols, see Onboarding With SSO.

App and Intranet Improvements
- In Forms, the alignment of fields has been adjusted from the left to the center.
- On the redesigned user profile page, how phone numbers are displayed has been improved. Now, the number is hidden behind a phone button. Click the button to open a dropdown showing the available numbers. The numbers can then be copied. Reach out to Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to activate this feature.
- In My Files and the Central File Manager, the filters have been updated for a better user experience. You can now search for specific filters, and clear all with a single click. How many filters have been selected is also now displayed.

- In Chat, modifications to the chat group settings were not accurately reflected in the user interface. This has been fixed.
- The notification for a newly published post within the notification center was translated incorrectly in Bulgarian. This has been fixed.
- In some cases, the order of description of a published post for Chinese localizations was incorrect. This has been fixed.

App and Intranet Improvements
- In the Users section of the Analytics dashboard, the following improvements have been introduced:
- Better tooltip help text for the User Funnel
- The daily calculation time for Registered Users analytics for customers using the German hosting infrastructure has been changed to 4 a.m. CET. This ensures that user counts are available at the beginning of each workday.
- On the web app, the screen reader buttons for Launchpad and Menu now announce whether the dropdown is collapsed or expanded.
- When uploading a file that contains malware now an error message is displayed stating that the file was rejected due to potential malware.

- In the widget configuration dialog for News Feed and News Stages, the search for news pages did not display search terms with multiple words correctly. This has been fixed.
Mobile App Bugfixes
- On iOS devices, in some cases when clicking on mail links, the links were not opened in the correct program. This has been fixed.

App and Intranet Improvements
- In the Studio, the behavior of closing the Resource Center has been improved and made in line with how the Studio behaves in general. Now when opening the Resource Center, you can click outside the Resource Center dialog to close the Resource Center. Previously, it was only possible to close the Resource Center by clicking the X icon.
- In Journeys, it is now possible to duplicate an existing journey, including all its steps. Applying the function will automatically re-use the content of the existing journey when creating a new one. Reach out to Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to activate this feature. - On the web app, the accessibility within the menu has been improved. The items inside a folder in the menu are accessible, no matter which direction they are entered from. Additionally, menu items and flyouts are hidden when they are not in focus.

- In News, channel editors were not able to delete their own posts. This has been fixed.
- The error handling on creating posts that have set publication dates has been improved.
- On the web app, in the desktop menu, the item titles collapsed instead of breaking into the next line when using a smaller window. This has been fixed.
- On the web app, in the vertical desktop menu, the notification bubbles were misaligned. This has been fixed.
- On the web app, the color contrast for sub-headlines has been improved.

App and Intranet Improvements
- In Chat, reactions are now fully accessible to all users on the web app.
- In the News and Content tabs, the dropdown selector for registered/unregistered users has been removed from the filter bar. This filter is now only available if the Public area analytics feature is activated.
- In the Analytics dashboard, we enhanced the user experience by implementing various layout improvements.
- The localization for Bulgarian language has been improved.
App and Intranet Bugfixes
- In News, adding a new RSS feed as source in the channel settings failed with an error message. This has been fixed. The system now successfully adds news sources if the provided URL contains a feed.
- In News, users could select a publication date in the past without receiving any notification. This has been fixed. Users are now notified about selecting a past publication date and are prompted to select a present date.
Mobile App Bugfixes
- On iOS devices, when opening the app for the first time, any running background audio, for example Spotify or YouTube, has been stopped. This has been fixed.
Employee Email Changes
- Due to the new Email Alias functionality, the filtering options for Reports in Employee Email have been re-labeled. The filter that you could previously use to show emails sent from selected addresses has been renamed from Add Subaccount to Display Email.
