This release hands you more control across the platform. Meet a smarter way to collect employee feedback with the rebuilt Forms. Need extra hands without added risk? Delegate specific Studio tasks, like user management or CSV Import, without handing over full administrator access. The same granular control extends to Screens in Spaces, where you can grant editor rights to manage slideshows alone. Create events straight from the Editorial Calendar, auto-sync them to your calendar, and send targeted RSVP-based follow-up emails to keep everyone informed.
Curious about what else is coming? Read on to discover what’s coming your way on October 22, 2026.
The Q4 2026 release will be the last in this quarterly format. From December onward, Staffbase is transitioning to a monthly release rhythm. You will receive new features and improvements sooner and in more manageable, easier-to-adopt increments, across every user role.
Redesigned Forms
Say hello to a modern way to collect information from your employees. The new Forms plugin provides a rebuilt, distraction-free questionnaire experience with conditional logic, richer question types, and a builder that keeps everything in one place. Your existing Forms plugin is now Classic Forms. The two will run side by side while you switch over, at your own pace.
Permission Delegation
Delegate specific Studio tasks without granting full administrator access. Administrators can assign users, groups, or API tokens to specific management domains, such as User Management, Groups, CSV Import, and Integrations. Assigned accounts can perform tasks only within their delegated domain, keeping access limited to what they need. Removing an assignment revokes access immediately.
Screens Improvements
Screens has received multiple improvements to allow more granular management, without compromising security. Space administrators can now install Screens in individual spaces and create Collections to bring multiple slideshows together. They can assign Screens editors to manage slideshows, media, and devices, without needing extra user rights to News. This makes sure local teams get the right level of control.
Events, Fully Connected
System-wide editors can now create events directly from the Editorial Calendar, with status and attendee counts shown on the calendar card. Events automatically sync with Outlook, Gmail, and Apple calendars, keeping attendees updated whenever details change, and invitees can RSVP straight from the email or their calendar app. They can also turn any invitation email into a targeted follow-up, filtered by RSVP status or to all recipients.
Navigator Connectors
Connect external services to Navigator with two connector types: Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors for MCP-supported platforms or Agent connectors for specialized external agents. Administrators can add available connectors, such as Atlassian and Workday, or custom connectors. Employees then connect from Navigator chat after authentication. Navigator respects each person’s permissions when retrieving information or completing supported tasks without having to switch between platforms.
Outbound Webhooks
With Outbound Webhooks, connected tools can receive notifications whenever specific Staffbase platform events occur, without repeatedly querying the API for updates. For example, when a comment is posted or a user account is deleted, connected tools such as HR systems or ticketing platforms can receive a notification. Administrators can configure webhooks for available event types directly in the Studio to send notifications to the connected tool and view the notification delivery history.
Improvements
Automatic Rollout
User View News Post UX Improvements
The News post editor in the user view for Update and Media channels has received UX improvements. Text boxes are smaller, using space more efficiently; editor icons received minor visual improvements, too.
Page Templates for the Content Designer
System Admins can now create and manage a library of page templates built with the Content Designer. Templates live in the Studio’s customization settings, and any Studio user with permission to create pages can start from a template instead of building from scratch, making it easier to keep pages on-brand and consistent.
Campus Announcement
Campus content now lives in the Support Portal alongside our support documentation. It’s one place for onboarding materials, articles, videos, quick-start guides, and courses. No login required and improved search across learning, support, and developer content.
Campus remains Campus: the same learning content and branding, now with a new home.
The existing Campus platform will remain available until January 21, 2027, so you can finish any courses you’ve already started there. Course progress and completion history will not be transferred to the Support Portal. Explore Campus on the Support Portal. It’s already live! Share any feedback or questions with your Customer Success Manager.
