The Forms editor comes with easy drag-and-drop fields that help you create a form quickly. There are different types of fields that editors can use to get user input in a form. In addition, you have a section break and additional content fields to group your content better.
Form Fields
Choose which form fields to add based on the kind of response you want. If it is a feedback form, you might want to add multiple-choice, and so on. There are many different creative uses for forms, for example, reimbursement requests, reporting issues, or even registering meal requirements. You can use these fields in any combination to meet your needs.
These are the form fields available for you:
Single Line Text
This field is most useful for collecting one-word answers and short phrases.
Example:
You want your users to suggest a new name for the new product feature. In this case, you want a single term or at the most a short phrase.
Paragraph Text
This field is most useful for collecting longer answers.
Example:
You want your users' feedback on how to improve a process. In this case, the Paragraph Text field is ideal as you want detailed input from your users.
Date
This field is most useful for collecting longer answers.
Example:
You want your users' feedback on how to improve a process. In this case, the Paragraph Text field is ideal as you want detailed input from your users.
File Upload
Example:
In the case of a leave request form, provide your users the File Upload option to allow them to submit their medical certificate.
Dropdown
Example:
Allow users to select the department they belong to from a dropdown menu.
Multiple Choice
Example:
If you want to know what social media platforms your users use, you can give different options. You do not want to limit your users, instead you want them to select all the ones they use.
Single Choice
Example:
You want users to answer a quiz where only one answer is correct.
Section Break
This field adds a line to mark the ending of a group of fields, which is useful in grouping content. The section breaks help you see information groups easily.
Example:
You want departments to submit their new job opening to the HR department. The first section of fields can group fields related to the team, such as business unit, department, region, location, hiring manager, and so on.
The second section can contain fields for the vacancy, such as job title, description, number of vacancies, remote option, maximum salary, and so on.
The third section can group fields related to the recruitment process, such as priority, desired joining date, available dates to meet the entire team, and so on.

Additional Content
Example:
You want to group your content with section breaks and add a heading to each section.
Recipient Choice
Example:
If you want users to submit their feedback to their department heads, so that the department heads can look into what needs to be done.
Additional User Information
This field collects user profile details of users submitting the form based on the option you selected. Custom profile field information can also be collected with this field. If you want to know the certain information about the user submitting the form, you do not have to create a field for the user to enter the information. You can select the user information options for users, such as identifier, email address, department, and so on.

Example:
To implement the changes in the office based on the feedback, you want the location information of the users who submitted the form. In this case, users do not have to actively provide information. Add the Additional User information field and select Location option. In addition, you can further customize the fields with this information:
- Field label: Add a label for the field to let users know what information should be entered in the field.
- Required: When this checkbox is selected, users will not be able to submit the form without filling in the field.
- Image: Add an image to the field.
- Instructions for users: Add text to guide the user on what information needs to be provided in the field.
