Editor
Staffbase Email makes it easy to create, customize, and send professional emails. Whether you want to start from scratch, use a template, or work from the Editorial Calendar, the Email Designer provides a flexible and intuitive interface to build engaging emails quickly. Once your email is ready, you can either send it immediately or schedule it for later to reach the right audience at the right time.
Creating an Email
Prerequisites:
- The folder where you want to save the email must already exist.
Easily create professional emails with Staffbase Email:

In the Studio, navigate to Email > Overview > Create Email.
The Create Email page opens.
- Edit the internal title, space, folder, target audience, and campaign to create a new email.
- Click Next.

Select Email Designer.
The Email Designer opens.
- Drag and drop block layouts, elements, and quick blocks from the designer panel into the editor and preview area.
- Click Save.

In the designer panel, switch to the Preview tab to review the email. Switch back to Design to make any adjustments in the editor area if necessary.
If you started creating an email but do not want to schedule or send it, you can save it as a template by clicking Save > Save as Template.
Prerequisite
- You have at least created one template that you can use.

In the Studio, navigate to Email > Overview > Create Email.

The Create Email page opens.
- Edit the internal title, location, and audience to create a new email.
- Click Next.

Select Use an Existing Template.
The overview of templates opens.
- Select the template you want to use.

Click Next.
The template opens in the Email Designer. - Edit the template according to your needs.
- Click Save.

In the designer panel, switch to the Preview tab to review the email. Switch back to Design to make any adjustments in the editor area if necessary.
If you started creating an email but do not want to schedule or send it, you can save it as a template by clicking Save > Save as Template.

In the Studio, navigate to Planning > Editorial Calendar.
- Click Create > Email.
- Enter an internal title, a folder, and optionally a target group and campaign.
- Click Next.

Select a starting point.
- If you selected Use a Template in the previous step, you must choose a template and then click Next.
The Email Designer opens. - Edit the template according to your needs.

In the designer panel, switch to the Preview tab to review the email. Switch back to Design to make any adjustments in the editor area if necessary.
If you started creating an email but do not want to schedule or send it, you can save it as a template by clicking Save > Save as Template.
- In the Studio, navigate to Planning > Campaigns > the campaign for which you want to create an email.

Click the more options icon > Create Email.
Alternatively, open the campaign overview and click Create Email.
The Create Email page opens.

Enter an internal title, a space, a folder, and, optionally, a target group.
The Campaign field is prefilled with the campaign you created the email from.
- Click Next.

Select a starting point.
If you selected Use a Template in the previous step, you must choose a template and then click Next.
The Email Designer opens. - Edit the template according to your needs.

In the designer panel, switch to the Preview tab to review the email. Switch back to Design to make any adjustments in the editor area if necessary.

Sending or Scheduling an Email
- In the Studio, navigate to Email > the draft of the email you want to send or schedule.

Open the email and click Next.
The summary page opens. - In the Settings section, add or verify the details for the following.
- Target Audience
- Sender Address
- Sender Name
- Reply Option
- Campaign
- If there are changes to the Sender Address, Sender Name, and the Reply Option, contact your CSM or folder administrator, as only they can change those settings.
- Optionally select a Campaign from the dropdown menu.

In the Content section, add a Subject and optionally a Preview Text for the email. Hover over the wand icon and click Generate with AI to get suggestions. Learn more about AI in Staffbase Email.
- Optionally, click Browse Files to add Attachments from My Files to your email. Learn more about file management in Staffbase Email.
- From the Sending Options, select Send Now or Schedule for later. Learn more about scheduling emails.

If you select Send Now and click Send.
The Send Email dialog opens. -
Click Send.
You have successfully created and sent an email.
