Templates are reusable layouts or foundational building blocks for common communications. They are ideal for using placeholder images and texts to guide all future communications while ensuring consistency. By streamlining content creation, templates speed up the process of crafting recurring communication efficiently.
Creating a Template
Staffbase Email allows you to choose between designing a completely new layout or modifying a pre-existing template, the process is simple and intuitive.
- In the Studio, navigate to Email > Templates.
- Click Create Template.
- Give your template a Name.
- Click Next.
- Select Start from Scratch.
- Click Next.
The Email Designer opens. - Create the template.

You have successfully created and saved a template.
It is also possible to create a template by starting the email creation via Create Email or by editing an existing draft and then selecting Save > Save as Template.
- In the Studio, navigate to Email > Templates.
- Click Create Template.
- Give your template a Name.
- Click Next.
- Select Duplicate an Existing Template.
- Click Next.
A list of existing templates opens. You can preview the template by clicking the preview icon. - Select the template you want to use and click Next.
The template opens in the Staffbase Email Designer. - Edit the template if needed.

You have successfully created a template.
Editing a Template
- In the Studio, navigate to Email > Templates.
- Select the template you want to edit.
The template opens in the Staffbase Email Designer. - Edit the template as needed.

Deleting a Template
Deleting a template cannot be undone, the deleted template cannot be restored.
- In the Studio, navigate to Email > Templates.
- Select the template you want to and click the more options icon next to it.
A dropdown menu opens.
- Click Delete.
A confirmation dialog opens.
- Click Delete.
You have successfully deleted a template.
