Use Staffbase Email Analytics to track how single emails perform with detailed metrics like open rates and click-throughs to understand what resonates with your audience. With aggregated analytics, you get a big-picture view of engagement, and you can also break down data by user groups to spot specific trends. This insight helps you continually refine your email strategy for maximum impact. Aggregated email analytics are available in the Email tab of the Analytics dashboard.
In the Email Overview under Recently Sent and in the Sent tab of each folder, you can access the Statistics of single sent emails.
You can select between three tabs:

Statistics Tab
Top Metrics
The Statistics tab shows the following statistics for a sent email in the top row:
- Sent shows the number of recipients that were emailed.
- The number of Bounces shows how many recipients did not receive the email because it did not arrive in their inbox.
- Total: all contacts who were excluded from the email.
- New: the number of new contacts for whom the email bounced.
- The number of Opens shows how many of the recipients opened the email.
- Total: the number of times the email was opened, including repeated and unique opens.
- Unique: the number of times the email was opened for the first time by a specific recipient.
- The number of Clicks shows how many recipients clicked a link in the email.
- Total: the number of times a link in the email was clicked, including repeated and unique clicks.
- Unique: the number of times a link was clicked for the first time by a specific recipient.
The rates are calculated progressively.
Email Funnel Graph
The Email Funnel shows a bar diagram with four bars:
- Target Audience: shows how many recipients belong to the target audience.

Sent: shows the percentage of recipients the email was sent to. When you hover over the chart, you'll see the exact numbers of:
- Emails delivered
- Recipients without an email address
- Email addresses that have bounced in the past
- Recipients who have unsubscribed from this email category
- Opened: shows the percentage of received emails that were opened.
- Clicked: shows the percentage of opened emails in which a link was clicked.
Total Opens, Total Clicks, and Read Time Charts
Total Opens
The Total Opens diagram displays the number of times the email was opened, broken down into unique and repeat opens.
Total Clicks
The Total Clicks diagram shows the total number of clicks, broken down into unique and repeat clicks.
Filters
The Total Opens and Total Clicks diagrams can be filtered by the device type, the email was opened with:
- Desktop
- Tablet
- Mobile
- All Devices
The default setting is All Devices.
Read Times
Activation
The Read Time diagram shows the percentage of recipients who glanced at the email, skimmed it, and read it. Learn more about Read Time Data.
Distribution of Total Activities Graph
For the Distribution of Total Activities graph, you can select a timeframe of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 3 months. The diagram contains two lines: Total Opens over time and Total Clicks over time.
If you hover over a point in time, more information displays.
Top Links Chart
The Top Links overview shows the percentage of unique clicks on a certain link out of the number of opens. You can sort the links by highest or lowest click rate. If you hover over one of the charts, more information displays.
Progression of Unique Activities Graph
For the Progression of Unique Activities graph, you can select a timeframe of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 3 months. The diagram contains two lines: Unique Opens over time and Unique Clicks over time.
If you hover over a point in time, more information displays.
Details Tab
If you switch to the Details tab, you can view the email's settings. The settings include details about where, when, and how the email was created:
- Space
- Folder
- Date and time
- Author
- Target audience
- Sender address
- Sender name
- Reply option
- Campaign
- Languages
- Subject line
- Preview text
- Email preview
Clickmap Tab
The clickmap visually shows how much recipients interacted with links and buttons in your email content. Learn more about the clickmap.
