Clickmaps in Staffbase Email visually show how much recipients interacted with links and buttons in your email content. You can see click rates directly highlighted on each element of your email. This makes it easier to understand which parts of the message attract the most engagement and how the placement of a link or a call-to-action (CTA) button influences its performance. The clickmap is available for each sent email under a dedicated Clickmap tab.
Clickmaps are generated automatically for every sent email and show the date and time of the last click, along with filters to view the data by:
- User group
- Language of the email, in case of multi-language emails
Clickmaps also provide high-level metrics to help you evaluate email performance at a glance:
- Recipients: The number of recipients who received the email.
- Click rate: Percentage of opened emails with a clicked link.
- Total clicks: The number of times a link in the email was clicked, including repeated and unique clicks.
- Unique clicks: The number of times a link was clicked for the first time by a specific recipient.
Below the tiles, you can see an image of your email, with the click rates overlaid directly on its content. To help you identify high- and low-performing areas within the email, the clickmap visually indicates which elements received the most engagement. This data is color-coded to reflect the intensity of interaction. Darker shades indicate higher click volumes.
Next to this click map, a table shows a list of all the links and buttons included in the email, along with their respective click rates. If you hover over a link in the table, the preview image scrolls to that link automatically, so you can find the position within the email content easily. You can sort the table by the percentage of clicks using the arrow button.
