Bounce management and monitoring are key features that give you insight into failed email deliveries and help identify recurring issues. Undelivered emails, called bounces, can occur for a variety of reasons on the recipient's side, such as a full inbox. Learn more about the possible bounce reasons. Bounce management and monitoring protect your sender reputation and ensure emails reach the right recipients reliably, minimizing the risk of landing in spam folders.
Once a bounced email from a recipient is registered, the contact is added to the Bounce Management list. Contacts on the Bounce Management list will not receive any further emails from the Staffbase platform. Administrators can review the list to decide whether to update, remove, or retain the bounced contacts.
Downloading the Complete Bounce List
- In the Studio, navigate to Users > Bounce Management.
An overview of all bounced contacts opens. - Click Download to download the complete bounce list as CSV.
You have successfully downloaded the complete bounce list. You can now review it and decide whether to update, remove, or retain the bounced contacts.
Downloading a Bounce List of Selected Contacts
- In the Studio, navigate to Users > Bounce Management.
An overview of all bounced contacts opens. - Check the boxes for the contacts you want to include in the download.
- Click Download Selection to download the bounce list of selected contacts as CSV.
You have successfully downloaded a bounce list of selected contacts. You can now review it and decide whether to update, remove, or retain the bounced contacts.
Viewing the Details of a Bounced Email
- In the Studio, navigate to Users > Bounce Management.
An overview of all bounced contacts opens. - Navigate to the contact for whom you want to see the details of the bounced email.
- Click the three dots.
The Action menu opens. - Click View Details.
You are redirected to the Details tab of the bounced email.
You can now view the details of a bounced email to understand why delivery failed and take corrective action.
Viewing the Profile of a Bounced Contact
- In the Studio, navigate to Users > Bounce Management.
An overview of all bounced contacts opens. - Navigate to the contact whose profile you want to view.
- Click the three dots.
The Action menu opens. - Click View Profile.
You are redirected to the Details tab of the bounced contact's profile.
You can now view the details of the bounced contact to decide whether their information needs updating or removal.
Removing a Contact from the Bounce List
- In the Studio, navigate to Users > Bounce Management.
An overview of all bounced contacts opens. - Navigate to the contact you want to remove from the list.
- Click the three dots.
The Action menu opens. - Click Remove.
The Remove from Bounce List dialog opens. - Click Remove.
You have successfully removed a contact from the bounce list. This contact will receive future emails again as long as their address is valid and no other bounce reasons persist.
Removing Multiple Contacts from the Bounce List
- In the Studio, navigate to Users > Bounce Management.
An overview of all bounced contacts opens. - Check the boxes for the contacts you want to remove from the list.
- Click Remove.
The Remove from Bounce List dialog opens. - Click Remove.
You have successfully removed multiple contacts from the bounce list. As long as their addresses are valid and no other bounce reasons persist, those contacts will receive future emails again.
