At the top of most tab in the Analytics dashboard there are filters to refine your data results, depending on your needs. All filters adjust automatically according to the user role and the relevant access that role has.

Location of Filters
The filter options change depending on the tab. When you apply filter options for a tab, those options remain the same even after you navigate away from the tab. However, the filter selections do not carry over between the different tabs.
Here is an overview of which filters are available in which tabs of the Analytics dashboard.

Details on Filters
Date
- Available in all tabs.
- Allows you to collect data from a specific quarter or after a content campaign to see how it performed.
- Use preset options or select your own specific date range to narrow down or broaden the time frame of the data.
- News, Content, Chat, and Users:
- Preset options are Today, 7 days, Yesterday, 30 days, 365 days, This week, This month, This year.
- 365 days counts 365 days backward from the date of viewing
- This year is the current calendar year from January to December - Set to 7 days by default.
- Preset options are Today, 7 days, Yesterday, 30 days, 365 days, This week, This month, This year.
- Search:
- Preset options are This month, Last month, This quarter, Last quarter, This year, Last year
- Set to This month by default
Spaces
- Available in the News, Content, and User tabs.
- Select one or more spaces to which you have access.
- Set to 7 days by default.
Platforms
- Available in the News, Content, and User tabs.
- Select between Android, iOS, or Web.
- Set to All platforms by default.
User Type
- Available in the News and Content tabs.
- Select between Registered users or Unregistered users.
- See analytics based on registration status.
- Unregistered users have access to all public content. This allows admins to also see how that content was interacted with.
- Set to Registered users by default.
- Does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or other individual tracking methods.
- Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Support Manager to activate this filter.
Groups
- Available in the News, Content, and User tabs.
- Select one or more user groups to which you have access.
- Includes both closed and open groups.
- Set to All groups by default.
Channels
- Available in the News tab.
- Select one or more new channels to which you have access.
- Set to All channels by default.
Content Type
- Available in the Content tab.
- Select one or more content types to which you have access.
- Content includes:
- Folders
- Individual plugins without sub-content, such as Network or Chat.
- Individual content within plugins, such as a single page or survey. - Set to All content types by default.
Creation Type
- Available in the Users tab.
- Select how the users were added to the platform.
- Preset options:
- Email self signup
- CSV import
- Manual invitation
- Active Directory/LDAP
- Single sign-on - Set to All creation types by default.
