Metrics
In the Search tab, there are two types of metrics about search, the top metrics and the Search List.
Top Metrics
There are three metrics at the top of the dashboard for a quick overview.
Search Terms | All Searches | Search Users |
This metric displays the number of different subjects users searched for within the timeframe. | This metric displays the number of searches by users within the selected timeframe. | This metric displays the number of users who searched during the selected timeframe. |
The label underneath the metrics shows either a positive increase or negative decrease in the metric over the last month. For example, the number of search terms last month was 100 and this month is 50. That would display a 50% negative decrease, displaying that it is trending downwards. Hovering over the label provides additional information about the metric compared to the last month. |
Search List
The Search list is an extensive overview of the searches in your platform’s global search. The list displays the search term, how many times it has been searched, the increase or decrease in the searches for that term, how many users searched for the term, and a link to the search results. Learn more about Search in the Overview of Search article.
The different table headers are:
Header | Description |
Search Term |
|
All Searches |
|
Trend |
|
Users |
|
Search results |
|
By default, the table is sorted by All Searches. You can further sort the table by clicking on a specific header.
