The key messages of this article at a glance:
The role administration is located in the Team Administration > Basic Role Management. Here, you get an overview of all users and their assigned roles.
You can choose from four predefined roles: Admin (permissions cannot be changed), Manager, Editor, and Reader. The permissions of the last three roles can be adjusted afterward. Likewise, completely new roles can be created.
Creating a Role
Click on the pink plus button. A new column will be added to the right of the existing roles. In this one, you have the option to set the access rights for each module or action in Communications Control individually.
The permission levels are:
None: The user cannot see the corresponding module.
Read: The user can see the objects of the module but cannot edit them.
Write: The user can see and edit the objects of the module.
Manage: The user has full access and can edit settings.
If a role is no longer needed, it can be removed using the Delete button below the respective column. Before doing so, an alternative role must be selected and assigned to all users who have been assigned the role to be deleted.
Assigning a Role
Users can be assigned new roles at any time. This setting is done in the User Management (Team Administration Basic User Management).
In the Role column, you can simply select the desired role from the stored roles and change it. The changes will be applied automatically.
If you cannot select another role in the user management, you may not have the necessary permissions. In this case, please contact your team administrator.
