There are sections providing more in-depth statistics on the top-level metrics:
- Visibility
- Engagement
- Comment Sentiment
- Alignment
Comment Sentiment shows how users felt about your campaign content based on comments they left on news posts assigned to a campaign. It is calculated as the difference between the percentage of positive and negative comments. The calculated score ranges between -100 and +100.
Sentiment analysis is performed by processing and labeling all comments of posts assigned with a specific Campaign. The processing is done via an in-house pipeline using a machine-learning model. This pipeline provides probabilities for each comment being labeled positive, neutral, or negative. The model supports multiple languages. Since it runs fully in-house, Staffbase does not require any third-party processor to perform the analysis.
Sentiment analysis is fully available for comments in Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Analysis for comments in other languages may be less accurate.
Comment Sentiment Over Time Graph
The timeline shows the distribution of sentiment of comments collected at a point in time.
The stacked bars on a date correspond to the distribution of comments left on news posts assigned to a campaign. These comments are categorized into three areas based on their scores and indicated using colors:
- Positive comments (green)
- Neutral comments (grey)
- Negative comments (orange)
A flyout opens when you hover over a data point in the timeline. The flyout includes the number and exact percentage of:
- Positive comments
- Neutral comments
- Negative comments
