To create new content, click the pink plus button in the content module or in the blue navigation bar. In the latest case, you still need to select Content. After that, you will be directed to the content detail view.
The content detail view consists of three or four sections - depending on which content type you select:
Content Detail View: Post
In the Post tab, you set basic information about your content:
- the title
- the content type
- the channel
- the status
- the publishing date
- the deadline
By clicking the clip on the left side of the page, you can add attachments from Digital Asset Management to your content or upload new assets.
When adding assets from DAM to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or X (Twitter) posts, the post type changes automatically depending on the type of asset.
The editor changes depending on the content and post type. The content is displayed in the WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor exactly as it will appear on the target platform.
The Publish Settings allow you to publish content immediately or schedule it for later publication. The status you enter determines what happens to your content at the defined publishing time. An explanation of the individual statuses can be found here.
Below the mask of the original post, you have the possibility to create cross-posts. Click on the blue button to copy your original post, including text and image.
Exception: When starting with the content type Story, the masks of all cross-posts remain empty.
Content detail view: Strategy
In the Strategy tab, you can select topic categories, topics, events, tags, and responsible and assigned users. A defined communication strategy helps to measure the success of content afterward. Therefore, information such as topic category, topic, event, and tags should be included in each content. The briefing area is particularly suitable for providing colleagues with further information on the creation of content.
For the fields tags, topic category, topic, target group, and event, there is a special feature: You can either choose from the already created entities or, create new entities with the quick create function.
By clicking on the fields event, topic, and topic category, you can view their details.
Content detail view: Targeting
The Targeting tab appears exclusively for Facebook and LinkedIn content types and enables you to target content to a specific group of people.
Content detail view: Channel Management
The Channel Management tab allows you to view the status of the channel approval of your content.
Once published, the link to the post on the channel will be provided in the column Post URL.
Content detail view: Collaboration features
On the right side of each content, you have the option to use several collaboration features: Tasks, approval, comments or activities, versioning, and item hierarchy.
Tasks created here are automatically linked to the content and can be found in the Task Management module. You can learn more about task creation here.
By clicking on the thumbs icon, you can initiate an approval process - either for a content or a channel approval.
By clicking the chat icon, you can leave comments on the content. Within comments, you can tag other users via @ mention. They will receive a notification about the mention in the corresponding content.
By clicking on the clock icon, you can view the versioning. Here, you can track the development of the content, compare individual versions, and restore an older version if necessary. You can learn more about versioning here.
The item hierarchy enables an overview of all items above and below the object that has been opened. For content, you can see the assigned topic and topic category as well as the connected story and other cross-posts. You can also create new Communications Control objects via the item hierarchy. Read more about this here.
After saving your content, you can view it in the calendar, share it, adjust the entity permissions, or copy it.
To create another content afterward, click the arrow to the right of the Save button and select the Save and create new content option.
To delete a content, click the trash icon.
