The content status indicates the stage of the content production process. When creating content, a status needs to be assigned to the content.
Content can be assigned the following statuses:
Status |
Description |
The content has been created, but there is no fixed publication date yet. This is the only status that does not require a publication date. Consequently, content with this status does not appear in the calendar. |
The content has been created and given a publication date but has not yet been edited. Users can make changes at any time. There is no automatic publishing initiated with this status. |
The content has been created and is currently in progress. There is no automatic publishing initiated with this status. |
The content has been completed, if necessary approved, and is ready for publication. As long as the publication date has not yet been reached, the content can be edited. Once the date is reached, the content is automatically published, and the status changes to Published in Communications Control. After that, changes can only be made to the strategy section. |
For content type Facebook only:
The content is transferred to Facebook at the set publication time but is not published. It can be found in the "Scheduled content" section. Changes can only be made to the strategy section. Use case: Collaboration with external agencies that boost posts but do not have access to Communications Control. |
For content type WordPress only:
The content is transferred to WordPress at the set publication time. It can be found in the "Articles" section. Changes can only be made to the strategy section. |
The content has been finalized and needs to be approved. When using the simple approval, the status jumps back to the previous status after processing the approval. When using the extended approval, an action is defined that occurs when the approval is granted, e.g. the status change to Scheduled. Read more about this here. Info: The status can not be selected manually. It appears as soon as an approval has been requested and is active until it is processed. |
The content has been successfully published (for auto-publish channels, the status is set automatically; for non-auto-publish channels, it must be set manually). Changes can only be made to the strategy section. |
The content is published on multiple channels, but the publication has not been done everywhere yet. Once the posts are published on all channels, the status automatically changes to Published. |
An error occurred when publishing the content. |

The status indicates a template that simplifies the creation of similar content. Therefore, no publication date can be entered. Saved templates contain all settings that have been made: strategic settings, post type, editor content, etc. Read more about this here. |
