Adjust your timezone and add-in/extension settings to ensure you are collecting accurate and helpful metrics.
Depending on your configuration, you may also be able to manage your additional sending alias addresses using the same menus.
Timezone Selection for Metrics
Set Employee Email to display metrics in your local time, or the local time where your recipients are located:
- In the Employee Email web app, click the avatar containing your initials.
- Navigate to Settings > Account.
- Select a Timezone from the dropdown.
- Click Save and Update.
Add-in and Extension Settings
- In your Outlook ribbon, click Create with Staffbase.
A list of your saved Email Designer drafts is displayed. - Click the gear wheel to open your Settings menu.
Optionally, adjust the following settings:
- Enable Tracking
Automatically activates the Track Email setting for all emails that you draft in Outlook. - Enable Track Links
Measures the number of clicks to each link provided in your email. - Enable List BCCs
Automatically adds BCC'ed addresses to your list of recipients in each sent email's statistics dashboard.
This list can only contain up to 30 email addresses. - Auto-Count Recipients
Allows Staffbase to count the number of recipients for each sent email in its statistics dashboard.
Recipient counting can result in delayed sending depending on how your lists are set up.
If you notice only one recipient, contact Staffbase Support or your Account Manager for assistance.Recipient numbers can also be entered manually in the Email Summary report within your Email Metrics.
- Enable Tracking
- Click x to close the menu.
Your settings are saved automatically.
- In the Employee Email sidebar on a new draft email, click the gear wheel to open your Settings menu.
Optionally, navigate to adjust the following settings:
- General > Track Links
Measures the number of clicks to each link provided in your email. - Alias > Add Alias
If this option is displayed in your installed version of the add-in, use it to manage additional sending alias addresses.
If you have enabled the latest version of the Outlook 365 add-in, your tools for choosing and managing aliases have changed.

- General > Track Links

- In Gmail, click Settings.
A set of menu options opens in a sidebar.
Optionally, click General and adjust the following settings:- Tracking Checkbox
Choose the default tracking state for emails that you draft in Gmail. - Track Links
Measures the number of clicks to each link provided in your email. - Show Draft Size Warnings
Gmail enforces a strict maximum email message size of 102 KB.
Enable warnings to prevent your messages from being clipped. - Allow Access to Contacts
- Settings & Cache
Click Reset to Defaults to reset extension options as well as clear any alias settings.
- Tracking Checkbox
- Navigate to Settings > Alias Management if you have multiple additional sending alias addresses configured in Gmail.
- Click x to close the menu.
Your settings are saved automatically.
