Note on product naming: As of 2022, Bananatag is Staffbase's Employee Email product.
If your organization is a combined customer using Staffbase App/Intranet as well as Employee Email, you can seamlessly pull existing posts from your organization's article channels in the Staffbase platform to create content in the Email Designer.
The news quick block generates image, text, and hyperlink elements that your recipients will use to engage with article posts from your emails.

How To Add an Article Post to Your Email Design
Once you've finished connecting your App/Intranet and Employee Email accounts, you'll be able to start using the news quick block right away!
Load up a new draft or template in the Email Designer and pull the quick block into your draft using our drag and drop editor.
Once added, you'll see your article posts appear on the right side of the Email Designer.
You can then add these articles to your draft by either dragging an article onto your design or by clicking on the article to add it to the most recent empty news quick block space.
You can learn more about which channel each article comes from by hovering over the article on the right side of the screen.
Once added, the article's title, primary image, teaser text, and a link to the original article post will be copied into your draft. Just like other Email Designer elements, you can edit this content as needed.
The link in your email will forward recipients to the original version of the article post in your intranet by default, however, this can be adjusted as needed.
Any branding settings that you've configured in the Email Designer will be applied to the article content that has been copied into your email.
If your organization has used on-demand translation in your articles, you will also have the ability to select a language when pulling in content. This can be done by clicking on the language abbreviation before adding an article to your email design.
Please note that your article channels may only be targeted to certain groups in your organization.
To ensure the best recipient experience, always double check to ensure that the recipients of your email will have access to the channels where your linked articles were posted. Otherwise, users may not be able to access an article post when they click the link in the email they received.
What Posts Are Pulled From Your Channels
At the moment, only posts that have been published in your organization's article channels can be added to your email designs.
Learn more about the types of channels and posts that you can create.
If you have recently edited or published a post in an article channel but are not seeing it in the Email Designer, click the refresh button to pull in the most recent articles.
Please keep in mind that article posts can be deleted, unpublished or changed by their editors. The refresh button is a great way to ensure that you are pulling the most recent posts into your email!
If your organization hasn't created any posts in your article channels, you'll be presented with a link to open the Studio and create a post.
