Editor
The Editorial Calendar gives editors an at-a-glance view of planned content in the spaces and channels they have access to. This includes events and Live Broadcasts alongside news posts, emails, and blockers. This makes it easy for editors to visualize content and see if too much content is planned for specific days. Content can then be redistributed to maximize reach. The Editorial Calendar gives a comprehensive overview to the editors without overwhelming them.
Directly from the Editorial Calendar, you can conveniently:
- Add, edit, and schedule news posts
- Add blockers
- Create events and Live Broadcasts
- View details of news posts and blockers in a flyout
- Click on the title of a news post to open it
- Click on the title of an event to see its status, type, scheduled date and time, creator, and attendee counts
- Edit blocker details in the flyout
- Filter news posts, emails, and events by Space, Channel and Campaign, if available for your organization
- View quick analytics
Events you create anywhere in the Events Center appear on the calendar automatically and stay in sync: edits are reflected, and cancelled or deleted events disappear from the calendar. If you don't already use the Events Center, creating an event from the editorial calendar adds it for you.
You can only reschedule an event into the future; moving one into the past shows an error. If the event has attendees, rescheduling shows a confirmation first, since attendees will get an email notification and an updated calendar invite.
By default, editors can see and edit news for the spaces and channels to which they have access. However, with the optional Full Transparency mode, content from all spaces and channels will also be displayed in the calendar in a view-only format. Learn more about Full Transparency Mode.
