You can live stream an event using Real-Time Messaging Protocol(RTMP) connection. RTMP lets you send a video signal from a broadcasting tool, such as OBS, to Staffbase. After you create an event, you can copy the RTMP connection details from the event overview in the Studio. These details include the Server URL and the Stream Key, which you must enter in your broadcasting tool to send the video signal.

If you are not sure where to enter the RTMP details, refer to the documentation of your broadcasting tool.

Prerequisites:

• An event must already be created in the Studio.
• You are a moderator of the event. Only moderators can see the RTMP connection details.
• You use an external broadcasting tool that supports RTMP.

1. In the Studio, navigate to Content > Events Center > Scheduled > the event RTMP connection you want to copy.
2. Click the three dots to open the actions menu.
3. Click View and Edit.
   The Overview tab of the event page opens.

4. Under RTMP connection, click the copy icon for Server URL.

   

   
   The Server URL link is copied to the clipboard.

5. Click the copy icon for Stream Key. 
   The Stream Key link is copied to the clipboard. 
   You can use the copied links in your broadcasting tool.
