The File Usage feature in the File Manager provides a centralized view of where each file is used across pages and news posts. This eliminates the need to manually search for a file’s locations, while simplifying file management and updates. Make the most of File Usage to ensure accurate distribution, maintain content consistency across your digital assets, and keep your content up-to-date and well-organized.

File usage is available for files actively used in news posts and on pages to which you have access. Each piece of content is displayed in a list format, with a link to its exact location in the Studio. This allows you to easily see and navigate to the content within your platform for easy updating. It does not track files uploaded elsewhere, for example, in comments or chat messages.

How to Access File Usage

1. In the Studio, navigate to Files.
   The File Manager page opens.
2. Click the three dots on the file for which you want to see the usage.
   
   
3. Click Insights.
   The Insights dialog opens.
4. Navigate to File Usage.
   
   
5. Optionally, click a link to navigate to the content in the Studio.
   
   

You have successfully viewed the locations where the file is being used.
