Within the Staffbase platform, you can link from one piece of content to another, including to other internal pages, news, plugins, or even headings within the same page.
Linking Internal Content as a URL
The most basic way to link an internal piece of content is by copying the URL of the content you want to link to and pasting it directly into the text of your content.
- In the App or Studio, navigate to the content in which you want to insert an internal link.
- Click Edit.
A dialog to edit your content opens. - Paste the URL from the clipboard directly into the body of your text.
- Save your changes.
Your internal content is now linked.
Linking Internal Content as a Hyperlink
In news posts and on pages, you can link internally using hyperlinks, which embeds the link inside a specific piece of text. In this case, a user would click on the linked text in order to open the link.
- In the App or Studio, navigate to the content in which you want to insert an internal link.
- Click Edit.
A dialog to edit your content opens. - Select the text you would like to hyperlink.
- Click on the link icon in the editor toolbar.

Linking to a Specific Point on a Page
On pages, you can set up links that bring users to a specific point on a page. This type of linking is called an anchor link. Select a point on the page which you want to anchor, then hyperlink this point elsewhere on the same or another page. When users click on the anchor link, they jump to the anchored point. This makes it easy for users to jump from one related topic to another on pages with lengthy content.
Configuring an Anchor Link
- In the App or Studio, navigate to the page on which you want to create an anchor.
- Select the text you want to set as an anchor and link to.
- Click the anchor icon in the editor toolbar.
A dialog to configure the anchor opens. - Provide an Anchor ID. This ID will be displayed at the end of the anchor link.
If you plan to configure multiple anchor links for a page, the anchor ID for each link must be unique. The anchor ID should consist of lowercase letters and numbers; uppercase letters are not functional. Hyphens, dashes, and underscores can also be used in the anchor ID, but the ID cannot start or end with these characters. - Optionally, adjust the Anchor text.
- Click the copy icon to copy the anchor link.
- Click OK.
