The header on desktop allows you to add custom header links. These links can direct users to any of the following:
- Internal content
- External sites
- Any menu item within the Staffbase platform
You can arrange the header links in your preferred order and target them individually using the visibility settings. Contact Staffbase Support or your Customer Success Manager to learn more about this feature.
Your Intranet header can display up to four header links. All items on the header, except the profile menu, the notifications icon, and the launchpad, are header links.
There are two types of header links:
You can add both types of header links. They must be set via API call. Learn more.
Dynamic Header Links
Dynamic header links are links that direct users to existing menu items. The user's access to this type of header link depends on their access to the corresponding menu item. If a user has permission to view a menu item, they can also see the header link for the menu.
Static Header Links
Static header links are links that direct users to non- menu content in the platform or external websites. They are created and managed via the Quick Links API. The user's access to this type of header link can be restricted on the user ID or group ID level. Learn more.
The number of displayed header links may differ from user to user, depending on user visibility settings.
