To copy content from the Shared Library to your team and then schedule it into your editorial calendar, follow these instructions.
Copying topics, ideas, and assets works the same way as copying content. So you can use this step-by-step guide for other Communications Control objects as well.
Overview of the topics in this article:
- Copying and publishing shared content
- Enabling automatic copying of content
Copying and Publishing Shared Content
-
Open the shared library and navigate to the content in the Shared with me section. Click the copy icon at the bottom right of the tile of the content you want to import.
-
A popup opens where you can change the date, content type, and channel of the content. By clicking on the eye to the right of the channel, you will get a preview of the content. You have the option to keep the shared content in your shared library even after the copy operation.
-
To copy the content, click the Copy button. Clicking Copy and Edit will take you directly to the content detail view of the copied content.
-
Navigate to the Content module and open the content you just copied. In the detail view, you can edit it as usual. Create associated cross-posts if necessary. Once all settings have been made, set the status to Planned.
Enable Automatic Content Copying
-
Open the shared library settings by clicking on the gear icon in the menu bar.
-
The settings panel opens, where you can specify which of the objects shared with you should be automatically copied to your team. You can further determine whether the copied files should be automatically removed from the shared library afterward.
-
Specifically for content and topics, you can set a default status that will be assigned when they are copied.
Info: If you select Scheduled as the status and have set a default channel for the corresponding content type, the content is automatically published on the set date.
