If you mainly create content or ideas of a certain content type, you can store it as the default content type in Communications Control. This allows you to skip the manual selection of the content type when creating new measures. The same applies to the selection of a default view that opens when you click on an idea, content or topic.
The presets apply to your account only. Accordingly, different users can define different default content types and views.
To define the settings, open the General Settings section in your personal settings (Profile picture Personal Settings). Here you will find the Default content type field in the upper area, and the Default view field in the lower area.
To make both settings, you must first determine the team in which the settings are to be made, if you are registered in several teams. If you want to make the settings directly for several teams, you have to do it one after the other, because only one team can be selected in the Team field at a time.
In the fields below, you can determine which content type should be entered by default when creating a content as well as an idea.
For setting the default content type there is an alternative way - by clicking the star icon next to the content type when creating a content or idea.
In the Default view area, you enter which view should open by default for ideas, content, and topics (independently of each other). You can choose between the window view and the detail view.
The settings in the Standard view area refer exclusively to opening measures that have already been created. The creation of new ideas, content, and topics continues to take place in the window view even after the settings might have been adjusted.
