The PressPage integration includes an additional auto-publishing channel in Communications Control. This allows companies to plan, create, and transfer content to PressPage to finalize and publish it.
The integration of PressPage is a paid extension. If you have any questions about pricing or implementation, please contact the support or your Customer Success Manager.
The integration of PressPage in Communications Control enables:
-
the creation, planning and transfer of content to PressPage,
-
the creation of multi-language content and
-
a lot more features to come.
Before you can start working with the PressPage integration, you need to generate an access token. You can request this access token after you have licensed the integration with Communications Control and PressPage from your Customer Success Manager at PressPage.
Creation of PressPage Content
Creating PressPage content in Communications Control works in the same manner as creating any other content type.
Create a new content and select the content type PressPage. Now, choose the specific channel you want to create a press release for.
The WYSIWYG editor holds a variety of features that you already know from PressPage:
- Release title
- Subtitle
- Summary
- Text
- Tags
Within the fields summary and text, you can make use of various text formatting options, such as:
- Font color
- Bold
- Italic
- Underlined
- Subscript text
- Superscript text
- Adding links
- Adjusting style: paragraph, heading 1-3 (exclusively in the text field)
- Strikethrough (exclusively in the text field)
- Insert table (exclusively in the text field)
- Bulleted list (exclusively in the text field)
- Numbered list (exclusively in the text field)
- Insert image (exclusively in the text field)
The Publish status only transfers the article to PressPage. Once sent to PressPage, it can be finalized there and distributed to other channels, such as via email to a targeted group of journalists.
Creation of Multilingual PressPage Content
To publish press releases in different languages, you can create multilingual posts via Communications Control. To do so, click on the plus icon next to the source language above the WYSIWYG editor. You can then create the press release in English as well.
Please note that this will open a second, empty mask and does neither involve a transfer nor a translation of the original content. The press release content must, therefore, be translated and inserted manually into the corresponding fields.
Roadmap: Upcoming Features
In the second version of the PressPage integration, several improvements and enhancements will be made, including:
- Dynamic customization of languages based on your configuration in PressPage (all languages for which you create content in PressPage are also available in Communications Control).
- Maintenance of the "Featured Image" for a press release in Communications Control and transfer to PressPage
- Assets used in the press release text are uploaded to the specific PressPage folder
