The Email Designer for Employee Email provides all the functionality needed to create, design, format, and arrange the layout of your email drafts.
Staffbase fully supports all in-product Email Designer functionality.
Note: Staffbase’s Customer Enablement and Support teams do not cover issues arising from third-party tools, or other factors outside of Staffbase’s reasonable control.
If you copy and paste formatted text from a third-party text editing tool, there may be limitations on how your source formatting is applied on the Email Designer. The limitation varies depending on the text's source and the type of formatting involved.
Staffbase recommends pasting text without formatting and using the formatting options available in the Email Designer.
However, for the following third-party text editing products, Staffbase offers best-effort support:
- Microsoft Word
- Windows Notepad
- Google Docs
- TextEdit for Mac
Best-effort support means that our team will review, research, and do their best to address select issues. However, Staffbase cannot be held fully responsible for fixing issues related to third-party products, over which we have no control.
Copy and paste functions may also work with formatting from other text editing tools. However, Staffbase will not actively support them.

How Formatting Transfers From Third-Party Sources
Depending on the type of formatting and the source that it is copied from, pasting formatted text into the Email Designer will have different results.
We prioritize copy-paste functionality for the following style types:
- Headings
- Italic / Bold / Underline
- Lists
- Alignment
Note: The Email Designer measures Font Size in pixels (px), which is optimal for the formatting of your emails. Text editors like Microsoft Word measure Font Size in points (pt).
The differences between these units of measurement can change the look of your pasted text. To predict how the size of your source text in pt will translate into px, you can use a unit conversion tool such as simplecss.
