The Quiz Calendar plugin allows you to configure each individual quiz to your organization’s specific preferences. You can change the settings of a specific quiz to tailor what a quiz looks like, when results are displayed, and how long it lasts.
Prerequisites
- You have installed the Quiz Calendar plugin.
- You have set up at least one instance of the Quiz Calendar.
Adding a Custom Background Image
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Quiz Calendar.
- Open the quiz calendar you want to customize and click Settings.
- Select the option Custom Image.
- Click Upload an image.
- Select the image you want to upload from your computer.
The image will display centered in the quiz calendar. The same image will be used for mobile and desktop screens, so be sure that the most important visual elements are towards the center of the image. - Click Save.
You’ve added a custom background image to your quiz calendar. Now you can preview how the image will look for your users.
Delaying the Display of Correct Answers
Correct quiz answers are shown immediately after a user answers a question by default. You can disable this functionality to keep competition healthy and make sure answers aren’t shared prematurely. Answers will be revealed the next day instead.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Quiz Calendar.
- Open the Quiz Calendar you want to customize and click Settings.
- Deselect the option Show Correct Answer Immediately After Answering.
- Click Save.
You have hidden the correct answers from displaying immediately in your quiz calendar. Users will only see the correct answers the next day.
Activating the Ranking Tab
The ranking tab in the Quiz Calendar allows your employees to see how many points they have for a given quiz and where they stand compared to other colleagues. By default, the ranking tab is not shown. Turn on the ranking tab to add an extra level of excitement to your quiz calendar.
If you have deselected the option Show Correct Answers Immediately After Answering, the ranking tab will be updated the next day.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Quiz Calendar.
- Open the Quiz Calendar you want to customize and click Settings.
- Select the checkbox Show Ranking.
- Optionally, select the checkbox Hide User Names in Ranking. This will allow your employees to see their own name and where they rank against their colleagues, without seeing individual names.
- Click Save.
