Agent connectors connect Navigator to a specialized external agent. Instead of using the external system's tools directly, Navigator delegates supported tasks to the agent, which carries them out on the employee's behalf.
Navigator provides the Workday Agent connector as a ready-to-use connector. Unlike custom Agent connectors, you do not need to add it, but you can connect it. You can edit, remove, activate, or deactivate it as needed.
To add or connect an agent in Navigator, configure the OAuth connection with the agent provider and then add the agent connector in Staffbase Studio.
Copying the Redirect URI of Your Navigator
Before registering Navigator as an OAuth client with your agent provider, copy the Redirect URI from Studio. This URI specifies where employees’ browsers are redirected after they connect to and authenticate with the agent provider through Navigator chat. The Redirect URI is the same for every agent connector in your platform and is tied to the domain you use to reach Studio.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Navigator > Connectors.
- Under Available Connectors or Custom Connector, select Add Agent or Connect Agent.
The Connect Agent page opens. -
Select the copy icon next to Redirect URI.
You have copied the Redirect URI. Use this URI when registering Navigator as an OAuth client with your agent provider. Follow the provider's documentation to complete the registration and obtain the required OAuth credentials.
Adding or Connecting an Agent Connector in Navigator
Prerequisites:
- You need the agent card JSON provided by the agent provider.
- You have the following OAuth credentials from the provider, obtained by registering Navigator as an OAuth client with the provider:
- Client ID
-
Client Secret
You can check the agent provider’s documentation on how to register Navigator as an OAuth client.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Navigator > Connectors.
- Under Available Connectors or Custom Connector, locate the agent connector you want to add.
- Select Add Agent or Connect Agent.
The Connect Agent page opens. - Under Name, enter the name of the connector.
- Under Agent Card, enter the agent card JSON.
- Under Credentials, enter the following information:
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Select Add Agent.
- You have added an agent connector. You have made the agent connector available to your employees. After employees connect to the tool and authenticate, they can use it in Navigator.
To fix this, update the Redirect URI with your provider. If it cannot be changed, register a new OAuth client with the correct URI, then edit the connector to update the Client ID and Client Secret.
Editing an Agent Connector in Navigator
You can edit an agent connector at any time to update its details or remove it if it is no longer needed.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Navigator > Connectors.
- Locate the connector you want to edit.

- Select Manage for the connection you want to modify.
The Edit Connector page opens. - Update the details or click Remove Agent to remove it from the platform.
