Agent connectors connect Navigator to a specialized external agent. Instead of using the external system's tools directly, Navigator delegates supported tasks to the agent, which carries them out on the employee's behalf.
Navigator provides Workday Agent connectors as ready-to-use connectors. Unlike custom Agent connectors, you do not need to add it, but you can connect it. You can edit, remove, activate, or deactivate it as needed.
Adding or Connecting an Agent Connector in Navigator
Prerequisite:
- You need the agent card JSON provided by the agent provider.
- You have the following OAuth credentials from the provider, obtained by registering Navigator as an OAuth client with the provider:
- Client ID

Client Secret
You can check the agent provider’s documentation on how to register Navigator as an OAuth client.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Navigator > Connectors.
- Under Available Connectors or Custom Connector, locate the agent connector you want to add.
- Select Add Agent or Connect Agent.
The Connect Agent page opens. - Under Name, enter the name of the connector.
- Under Agent Card, enter the agent card JSON.
- Under Credentials, enter the following information:
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Click Add Agent.
- You have added an agent connection. You have made the agent connection available to your employees. After employees connect to the tool and authenticate, they can use it in Navigator.
Editing an Agent Connection in Navigator
You can edit an agent connection at any time to update its details or remove it if it is no longer needed.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Navigator > Connectors.
- Locate the connector you want to edit.
- Select the three dots to open the more options menu.
- Select Manage for the connection you want to modify.
The Edit Connector page opens. - Update the details or click Remove Agent to remove it from the platform.
You have edited the MCP connection to update its details or to remove it from the platform.
Activating or Deactivating an Agent Connection in Navigator
You can activate or deactivate an already added agent connection at any time.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Navigator > Connectors.
- Locate the connector you want to activate or deactivate.
- Select the three dots to open the more options menu.
- Select Activate or Deactivate.
You have activated or deactivated the MCP connection.
