Who can create events and track responses? Who can add them to emails?
System-wide editors can create events and track RSVP responses in the Events Center. Folder editor roles and higher can add events to emails.
Which events can I add to an email?
You can add online, in-person, hybrid, and Live Broadcast events to emails. Events must be in the same Space as the email.
Can I add an event to an email in a different Space?
No, you can only add events that are in the same Space as the email.
Can I send a Live Broadcast event to recipients who are not part of the target audience?
Only recipients who are included in the Live Broadcast's target audience can access the event. However, you can still include the Live Broadcast event block in emails sent to any recipients, regardless of the event's target audience.
What does the event quick block show in the email?
The event quick block includes the event title, description, location, time, and RSVP buttons Yes, No, and Maybe. For online and hybrid events, it includes the link to join the event.
What happens to the event details if I add another email language version?
When you add another language version to your email, all event details are translated automatically except for the event title and location. These fields remain in the original language to make sure the attendees find the correct location. You can, however, manually translate those details in the event block, if necessary.
Can I add the same event to multiple emails?
Yes, you can add events to an unlimited number of emails.
Can I edit an event after sending it in an email?
Yes, however the event details are not updated in the email and no notification of a change is sent. Only the event registration page linked in the email shows the updated details. Staffbase recommends sending a new email if the event changes so all recipients are informed.
Will recipients receive an updated calendar file if the date is changed?
The .ics calendar file is always up to date. However, only recipients who have not yet downloaded it will see changes. Recipients who have already downloaded the calendar file need to download it again to save the updated event details.
Can I delete an event after it has been added to an email?
Yes, but there are no updates or notifications sent to recipients. The event registration page linked in the email shows that the event does not exist any longer. Staffbase recommends sending a new email if the event has been deleted so that all recipients are informed.
Can recipients change their response to an event?
Yes, recipients can update their RSVP at any time before the event starts. Once the event has started they can no longer update it.
What is the Attendees tab?
In the Attendees tab of an event, the system-wide editors and higher can view each recipient's RSVP status and export the attendee list as a CSV file.
