Moving a News Channel, Page or Plugin to Another Space

You can move a news channel, page, or plugin from one space to another. When you move content to another space, the content is not copied to the other space, but transported. You can move content, such as channels, pages, and links.

 Prerequisites

•  More than one space exists.

1. In the Studio, navigate to the space chooser and select All content.
   Alternatively, you can navigate further to the space from which you want to move the content.
   
   
2. Navigate to the content you want to move.
3. Click the gear wheel to open the settings.
   The settings page opens.
4. Click Move.
5. Select the space to which you want to move the content.
6. Click Move.
   You have successfully moved the content to another space. The content is displayed in the new space and is removed from its previous space.

Moving a News Post to Another Space

You can move a news post to another space, as long as you move it to a channel of the same type. For example, you can only move an update post to a channel of the type update. When you move a post to another space, you also move the comments and likes associated to the post. If you do not want to move the likes and comments, you can copy the post to another space. When a  post is moved to another channel, it will retain its previous publication status. For example, if you move a published post to another channel, the post will be moved to the other channel in published mode.

1. In the Studio, navigate to the space chooser and select All content.
   
   
2. Navigate to News > Channels.
3. Click the channel from which you want to move a post.
   The selected channel opens.
4. Select the posts you want to move.
5. Click Move.
   
   
   A dialog to move the post opens.
6. From the drop-down menu, select the channel to which you want to move the post.
   
   If you’re moving an update post, only channels with the type update are displayed in the menu.
7. Click Move.
   You have successfully moved the post to another space. The post is no longer displayed in the channel from which you moved it.
