@Mentions are a way of tagging users and getting their attention in the Employee App and Intranet. @Mentions are available in multiple locations across the Staffbase platform. In comments, they allow you to tag users to alert them of a post that might interest them or include them in a conversation.

You can notify your colleagues by tagging them with the @ symbol followed by their name. A list of matches displays in a dropdown and narrows down automatically as you continue to type. Only users with the appropriate access to the post display in the dropdown. Once you have sent the comment, clicking on the @mention takes you to the user’s profile.

The colleagues you tag receive a notification in the notification center. They also receive a push notification on their mobile device, if they have push notifications enabled.

@Mentioning a User

1. In your Employee App or Intranet, navigate to a news post.
2. Navigate to the comments section.
3. In the comment field, type the @ symbol and name of the user you want to tag.
   
   
4. Select the user you want to tag.

You have tagged an employee using @Mentions. Once you send your comment the tag appears in the user’s notification or via push notification on their mobile device.

Enabling Push Notifications for @Mentions

1. In your Employee App or Intranet, navigate to Settings > Notifications.
2. Under Mentions, enable the toggle for push notifications.
