The Staffbase Companion Editor supports content creators to create impactful news articles using generative AI capabilities. The Companion Editor can generate, adjust, and refine news content based on a small amount of contributor input. It is available in the Staffbase Studio for Article channel types in News.

The Companion Editor helps content creators to:

In the Studio, you can use the dedicated buttons next to the title, teaser, or article text fields when creating or editing a news article post. This covers the whole workflow in article creation, from drafting initial ideas and creating the right title for the article to adjusting the tone of voice.

Languages

The Companion Editor is available in all interface and content languages offered on the Staffbase platform. Additionally, when you create content in multiple languages, the Companion Editor automatically generates content for the language tab in which you are working. For example, if you create an article in the Italian language tab, and write the prompt in English, the text is generated in Italian.

The Companion Editor's generative AI capabilities are provided by Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service. OpenAI offers cutting-edge technology with enterprise-level infrastructure and security. User input to Companion Editor is not stored by Staffbase. Instead, it is sent to Azure OpenAI for processing with the AI model. The current version of Companion Editor uses GPT 3.5 turbo model to offer efficient processing and fast response times for quality text generation.
