You can use the Companion Editor to create a well-crafted article on a specific topic for entirely new or draft articles. Write a short prompt with any specifications you have, including text length and topics.

1. In the Studio, navigate to Content > News > an Article channel.
2. Click Create Post to create a new article or Edit to open a draft article.
3. Type a forward slash ( / ) into the article text box.

4. Click Use your own prompt.
   The prompt text field opens.
   
   
5. Insert any details required and adjust the prompt to your needs.

7. Click Insert this text.
   The text is inserted into the Article Text box.

You have generated article text from your own prompt and inserted it into the article. You can now finish setting up the article.

Once you have article text, you can use the Staffbase Companion to change the tone of voice. Choose between five different tone options.

1. In the Studio, navigate to Content > News > an Article channel.
2. Click Edit to open a draft article with text.
3. Select the article text.
   
   
4. Click AI below the article text.
5. Click Adjust tone.
   
   
6. Select the tone to which you want to adjust your text.
   
   
   
   The AI-generated text displays for you to review.
7. Optionally, click Regenerate to adjust the tone again.
8. Click Replace selection or Insert Below.
   
   
   
   The text is inserted into the Article Text box.

You have adjusted the tone of the article text and inserted it into the article. You can now finish setting up the article.

The Companion Editor can easily make your article text shorter or longer. This helps you get the exact right length you’re looking for from your content.

Make Text Shorter

1. In the Studio, navigate to Content > News > an Article channel.
2. Click Edit to open a draft article with text.
3. Select the article text.
4. Click AI below the article text.
   
   
5. Click Make shorter.
   
   
   
   The AI-generated text displays for you to review.
6. Optionally, click Regenerate to change the length again.
7. Click Replace selection or Insert Below. 
   
   
   
   The text is inserted into the Article Text box.

You have shortened the article text and inserted it into the article. You can now finish setting up the article.

Make Text Longer

1. In the Studio, navigate to Content > News > an Article channel.
2. Click Edit to open a draft article with text.
3. Select the article text.
4. Click AI below the article text. 
   
   
5. Click Make longer.
   
   
   
   The AI-generated text displays for you to review.
6. Optionally, click Regenerate to change the length again.
7. Click Replace selection or Insert Below. 
   
   
   
   The text is inserted into the Article Text box.

You have lengthened article text and inserted it into the article. You can now finish setting up the article.

1. In the Studio, navigate to Content > News > an Article channel.
2. Click Edit to open a draft article with text.
3. Select the article text.
4. Click AI below the article text.

6. Optionally, click Regenerate to create different bullet points.
7. Click Replace selection or Insert Below.
