In the topic planning, you can create topics, stories, content, and events as needed. These can either be assigned directly to a topic category or created without an associated topic category.

Creating objects without affiliation
To create independent topic categories, topics, stories, content, or events in the topic plan, follow the steps in this guide:

Click the Create button in the left column of the topic plan.

Select the desired Communications Control object from the drop-down menu ( topic category, topic, story, content, event)

A new row will open in the left column with the corresponding icon. Enter a title here and confirm it with the Enter key.

The newly created object will now appear in the corresponding category below the Entities without assigned [...] area. The exact title depends on the topmost object of your hierarchy within the topic planning.
When creating a new topic category, the new object will appear in the list of the remaining topic categories according to the selected sorting.
Creating objects with affiliation
To create topics, stories, content, or events in the topic plan, follow the steps in this guide:
For objects created in this way, the object type is predefined. Only objects lower in the hierarchy can be created at a time. That is:
- When clicking on the three-dot menu of a topic category, a topic, story, content or event can be created.
- Clicking on the three-point menu of a topic can create a story, a content or an event.
- Clicking on the three-point menu of a story can create a content or an event.
- Clicking on the three-point menu of a content can create an event.
To create a new object, proceed as follows:

In the three-point menu of the object to which a child object is to be added, click on the top option Create new [object].

A new line opens in the left column with the corresponding icon. Enter a title here and confirm it with the Enter key.

The newly created object now appears below the object in which the three-point menu was clicked.
