With email aliases, users can send emails from different email addresses from their primary email accounts without setting up additional accounts. In Employee Email, you can create aliases and easily share them with your team, whether it's for individual use or as a group. You can manage sharing and sending options for existing aliases. When aliases are no longer required, you can conveniently unshare or deactivate them completely.
Create Aliases
- In the Studio or web app, navigate to Email > Aliases.
The Aliases page opens. - Click + New Aliases.
The Create alias dialog opens.
- Provide the Display name for the alias.
- Provide the Display email. In this case, the alias email address.
For example, sales@company.com - Provide the Reply email for the alias.
The reply email can be different from the display email. - Optionally, check the box Block auto-replies to this email.
- Click Create.
The email alias is created and ready to use.
Edit Aliases
You can edit the display name or reply email for an alias. You cannot edit the display email.
- In the Studio or web app, navigate to Email > Aliases.
The Aliases page opens. - Navigate to the alias you want to edit.
- Click the three dots to open the menu.
- Click Edit Alias.
The Update alias dialog opens.
- Click the pencil icon to edit.
- Click Save.
You have edited the alias.
Share Aliases
You can share an alias with individual users or groups. You can remove their access to the alias at any point.
- In the Studio or web app, navigate to Email > Aliases.
The Aliases page opens. - Navigate to the alias you want to share.
- Click the three dots to open the menu.
- Click Manage Senders.
The Manager Sender dialog opens.
- Navigate to the Individuals or Groups tab to find the user to share that alias with.
- Select all individuals or groups you’d like to share that alias with. If the individual or group is not listed, use the search.
- Click Share for each of them you want to add.
- Click Apply changes.
You have shared an alias with an individual or group. You can share it again or unshare it at any point.
Unshare Aliases
You can unshare an alias with users or groups who had previous access. You can share the alias again at any point.
- In the Studio or web app, navigate to Email > Aliases.
- Click the three dots.
The Aliases page opens, displaying a list with all aliases. - Navigate to the alias you want to unshare.
- Click the three dots to open the menu.
- Click Manage Senders.
The Manager Sender dialog opens.
- Navigate to the Individuals or Groups tab to find the user you want to unshare the alias with.
- Select all individuals or groups you’d like to unshare that alias with. If the individual or group is not listed, use the search.
- Click Unshare for each of them you want to remove.
- Click Apply changes.
You have unshared an alias with a contact or group. You can share the alias again at any point.
Deactivate Aliases
You can deactivate aliases if you no longer need them. Scheduled draft emails must be unscheduled first.
The following is still available after deactivating aliases:
- All metrics for deactivated aliases are preserved.
- Sent emails from deactivated aliases can still be viewed.
- In the Studio or web app, navigate to Email > Aliases.
- Click the three dots.
The Aliases page opens. - Navigate to the alias you want to deactivate.
- Click the three dots to open the menu.
- Click Deactivate alias.
All scheduled draft emails from the alias display. - Click Unschedule next to each draft email.
- Click Deactivate.
You have deactivated the email alias. Users to which the alias was shared are notified respectively.
How Users Send Emails From an Alias
