Permissions for Microsoft 365 applications need to be granted on behalf of your organization. Then, an app reference is created in your organization's Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). It is also possible to review app permissions and grant admin consent on behalf of the organization.
Prerequisites
- In the Studio, you have configured one of the following:
- Microsoft Connection
- Microsoft Plugin
- You have an Azure account with one of the following roles:
- Global Administrator
- Privileged Role Administrator
- Cloud Application Administrator
- Application Administrator
A user can also be authorized to grant tenant-wide consent if they are assigned a custom directory role that includes the right to grant permissions to applications.- In your Microsoft Entra ID, navigate to Enterprise applications.
- Choose for which type of Microsoft content you want to manage permissions for:
- Microsoft Search and Widgets
To establish a Microsoft connection with your Staffbase platform, select one of the following based on the app you used:- Default Azure app: Select Staffbase Integrations
- Custom Azure app: Select the custom app you created
- Microsoft 365 Widgets
For configuration of Microsoft 365 Widgets permissions, choose Staffbase MS365 Widgets. - Microsoft 365 Calendar Plugin
For the configuration of the permissions for the Microsoft Calendar Plugin, choose Staffbase MS365 Calendar Plugin - Microsoft 365 Files Plugin
For the configuration of the permissions for the Microsoft Calendar Plugin, choose Staffbase MS365 Files Plugin.
- Microsoft Search and Widgets
- Under Permissions, you can review permissions for your Microsoft application.
- Click Grant permissions on behalf of your organization if you have to enable the application for your internal communication platform.
