Submitting Feedback or Idea
You can submit feedback for the product team to consider as an idea. You can submit it in two places:
- Ideas Portal
- Feedback Badges
- In the Studio, click on your profile image.
A dropdown opens. - Click Ideas Portal.
The Ideas Portal opens. - Click Give Feedback.
The Give Feedback dialog opens. - Under What problem are you trying to solve?, enter your feedback or idea.
- Under Importance, select one of the following options:
- Must have
- Nice to have
- Click Submit.
- Click Done.
You have successfully submitted an idea to the Ideas Portal. Your idea will be reviewed by Staffbase Product teams.
Not all Studio features have a feedback badge on their page. They are more likely to be found on Beta features. The product team determines whether further feedback is needed on a feature and decides accordingly.
- In the Studio, navigate to the feature which has a feedback badge.
- Click Give Feedbackbadge.
The Give Feedback dialog opens. - Enter your feedback or idea.
- Under Importance, select one of the following options:
- Must have
- Nice to have
- Click Submit.
- Click Done.
Voting on an Idea
You can vote on ideas that the product team curated from the feedback you submitted. Voting shows Staffbase that this is an important topic to you.
- In the Studio, click on your profile image.
A dropdown opens. - Click Ideas Portal.
The Ideas Portal opens. - Navigate to the product area to which you want to submit feedback.
- Under Gathering Feedback, browse through the ideas.
- Click on the idea you want to vote on.
- Select one of the following options:
- Must have
- Nice to have
- Not interested
- Provide any additional feedback or context.
- Click Submit.
You have voted on an idea, which is added to the overall vote count. You can change or remove your vote at any time.
FAQ
Why can't I see the Ideas Portal?
If you have access to the Studio but can’t see the Ideas Portal, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

Using a VPN
The Ideas Portal is not supported when accessing the Studio through a VPN. Try disconnecting from the VPN and trying again. -
Organizational Settings
Your organization may have opted out of certain Studio functionalities. Contact your Staffbase administrator to check. -
Ad Blockers
Some ad blockers might classify the Ideas Portal as an advertisement, preventing it from loading. Consult your IT administrator to determine if the ad blocker is the cause and whether its settings can be adjusted to allow access to the Ideas Portal.
What should I include in my feedback?
To help Staffbase process your feedback effectively, follow these guidelines:
- Submit one topic per feedback: Keep your feedback focused on a single feature or idea.
- Provide clear and detailed information: This ensures your input is understood and actionable.
- Goal: What are you trying to achieve?
- Reason: Why is this important to you?
- Challenges: What obstacles are you facing?
- Users: Who should benefit from this feature?
Who can see my feedback?
Your feedback submissions are accessible only to specific teams within Staffbase, such as the Customer Success and product teams.
What happens to the feedback I submit and how long will it take to be reviewed?
All feedback is reviewed monthly. It is evaluated, and transformed into new ideas or linked to existing ideas, if applicable. When your feedback is connected to an idea, we may reach out via the Studio for additional details. Your insights help the product team refine ideas and develop optimal solutions. Can I subscribe to an idea that I voted on?
No, there is no subscribe function at the moment.
Why is the Ideas Portal only available in English?
As an international company, Staffbase uses English as its internal working language. Submitting ideas in English allows us to apply automated rules more effectively, helping us sort and evaluate suggestions with greater accuracy and efficiency.
Why has the idea submission process changed?
To enhance your experience, Staffbase launched a new Ideas Portal with an improved user interface and better idea management tools. This upgrade allows our product team to deliver impactful features more efficiently.
