The partial CSV import option allows administrators to update only a specific subset of users during a CSV import. During configuration, you can either create a new partial CSV tag or select an existing one to configure the import.
Prerequisite:
- You have the Partial CSV import option activated for your platform.
- In the Studio, navigate to Users > CSV Import > the file you want to import.
- Click the three dots to open the more options menu.
- Click Start Import.
The Start Import option is only available for files in Draft status.The Settings page opens.
- Under Import Type, select Update.
- In the Partial CSV-Tag dropdown, enter a new tag or select an existing one based on the tag you added in the uploaded CSV file.
Using the wrong tag can cause users to be deactivated or duplicated.
- Under the Text Encoding dropdown, select the type of text encoding used in your CSV file.
- In the Cell Separator field, enter the value used to separate cells in the CSV file.
- Click Next.
The Mapping page opens. You have configured the partial import settings; now you can map CSV column names to profile fields in the platform.
