Managing conditional groups via CSV is a time-efficient option for large-scale group management. Once you have set up the tags to base your groups on, as well as internal groups, users can be added and deleted from any conditional group with a simple CSV sync.
Imagine you have enabled tagging for the profile fields for office location and department and created corresponding conditional groups . How do you add and delete users from these conditional groups?
All changes for individual users take place in the user CSV.
Adding a New User to a Conditional Group
A new coworker has joined the Marketing department at your company’s Dresden office. To add the new coworker to the conditional groups for the Marketing department and the Dresden office, the tags Marketing and Dresden have been placed in the columns designated for these tags.

Deleting a User From a Conditional Group
A Marketing colleague previously working in the Dresden office has relocated and now works remotely. To remove this user from the tag-based Dresden office group, the tag Dresden must simply by removed from the designated column for Location tags. By only removing this tag, this colleague has been removed from the location-based conditional group, but remains in the conditional group for the Marketing department. Leaving the cell empty in a column designated for conditional groups will delete a user from the corresponding group. Similarly, if a coworker leaves the organization, by deleting the user’s row, the user will be removed from all conditional groups.

Using this example, you can apply these methods on a broader scale and make changes to as many profile fields and users as you want within the CSV. Perform a CSV sync and all of your changes will be updated simultaneously in your employee app. This means your conditional user groups will be automatically updated to reflect the changes made in your user CSV.
