Chat is a great tool for direct one-on-one or group messaging within the app. Learn more. Archiving conversations in a Chat moves them out of your active list of conversations without deleting them. It declutters your inbox while keeping older conversations accessible for future reference. This helps you stay organized and focused on ongoing conversations.
You will find the archived conversations in the Archive folder. It does not affect the location of the conversation for other chat participants. In addition, the conversation automatically moves back into the inbox when a participant sends a new message. Archiving a conversation does not affect the notifications.
Archiving a Conversation
- In Chat, navigate to the chat conversation you want to archive.
- Slide the conversation to the left to display the action items.
- Tap Archive.
The conversation is moved into your Archive. If a participant sends a new message, the conversation automatically moves to the Inbox. You can restore the conversation at any time.
- In Chat, navigate to the chat conversation you want to archive.
- Hover over the conversation and click the three dots to open the action menu.
- Click Archive.

Restoring an Archived Conversation
It is possible to restore a previously archived conversation and move it back into your main Chat inbox.
- In Chat, tap Inbox.
- Tap Archive.

- Tap Restore.
You have moved the conversation back into your Inbox. You can archive the conversation again at any time.
- In Chat, click Archive at the bottom of the Inbox.

- Select Restore.
