Quoting a Chat Message

Sometimes a message can get lost in a conversation by the time you get to respond to it. Quote the exact chat message you want to reply to in the thread to provide the right context and background to your response.

  1. Navigate to Chat.
  2. Open the conversation you want to edit and navigate to the message you want to quote.
  3. Tap and hold the chat message.
    The action menu opens.
  4. Tap Reply to Message.

  5. Type your reply message.

    The original chat message is quoted in your response.
  6. Tap the paper plane icon to send.

You have quoted and replied to the chat message.

  1. Navigate to Chat.
  2. Open the conversation you want to edit and navigate to the message you want to quote.
  3. Click on the arrow icon.

  4. Type your reply message.
    The original chat message is quoted in your response.
  5. Click the paper plane icon to send.

You have quoted and replied to the chat message.
