The app icon is used in two places:
Google Play Store
The app icon is visible in your app profile in the Google Play Store.
iOS Devices and App Store
The app icon is visible on the home screen of your iOS device as well as in the App Store. iOS devices always display a square with rounded corners. Transparency is not possible.

The app icon that you need to provide differs from the app icon that is displayed on the device later. On the app icon that you provide, fill the corners. The corners are rounded automatically.
