If you have decided to distribute the app via the download link for employee-owned devices, this is regulated via Apple redemption codes. Each time the app is downloaded, one of these one-time redemption codes is used up. You do not need to distribute or assign redemption codes to your users after purchase, as the download page will automatically fill this field with a unique redemption code for each user once you have uploaded them to the platform.

Purchasing Redemption Codes

The purchase of redemption codes is free of charge.

1. Sign in to your Apple Business Manager.
2. Navigate to Custom Apps.
3. Select the app for which you want to purchase redemption codes.
4. Select Redemption Codes from the License Type dropdown menu.
5. Provide the number of redemption codes you want to buy.
   
   You can buy a maximum of 10,000 codes at a time and 25,000 per week. Staffbase recommends you to buy 10,000 codes at a time, in order to ensure that the codes do not run out quickly.
   
   
   
6. Click Get to purchase the codes.
   You will receive an email confirming the purchase at the email address linked to your Apple ID.
   

Downloading Redemption Codes

To use the redemption codes on the Staffbase download page, you must first download them from the Apple Business Manager.

1. Sign in to your Apple Business Manager.
2. Navigate to Custom Apps.
3. Select the app for which you purchased the redemption code.
4. Download the redemption codes.
5. Save the file locally to your device.
