The Box integration with Staffbase makes it easier than ever for users to find content across platforms. With this integration for Front Door Intranet, you can search not only content that lives in the Staffbase platform but also access your Box content.
Prerequisite
You are a Box Administrator.
Generating an Endpoint for Staffbase to Access the Box Instance
- In the Box developer console, navigate to My Apps.
- Click Create New App.
The page to create a new app opens. - Select Custom App.
The dialog to create a custom app opens. - Fill in the mandatory fields.
Staffbase recommends using the following information:
Purpose: Integration
Categories: Productivity
Which external system are you integrating with?: Staffbase - Click Next.
- Select the option User Authentication (OAuth 2.0).
- Click Create App.
You have generated an endpoint for Staffbase to access the Box instance. Now, you can configure the Box settings and copy the Client ID and Client Secret to then add the Box integration to Staffbase.
Configuring the Box Instance
You need to configure the Box instance before adding the Box connection to your platform.

In the Box developer console, navigate to My Apps > the app you just created.

Select the tab Configuration.

Scroll to OAuth 2.0 Redirect URIs.

In the Redirect URL field, enter the following: https://[YOUR_STAFFBASE_DOMAIN]/api/integrations/auth/box/callback
For example, if your domain is called my_staffbase, enter https://my_staffbase/api/integrations/auth/box/callback

Click Add.

Scroll to OAuth 2.0 Credentials.

Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.

Click Save Changes.
You have configured the Box settings and copied the Client ID and Client Secret. Now, you can add the Box connection to Staffbase.
