Newly added content will be displayed by default at the bottom of the menu. Drag and drop these contents to the desired location. - Click Save.
The order of your contents has been saved.
Defining the Hierarchy of Menu Items
You can flexibly define the hierarchy of menu items. All menu items, except news pages, can have subordinate items. Spaces can also be added as subordinate items to any menu item. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Staffbase Support for more information.
News pages cannot have subordinate items, as news channels already appear as child items of news pages in the menu.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Menu.
- In the space chooser, if available for your organization, select the space where you want to define the hierarchy of menu items.
- Drag the menu item, placing the cursor directly on top of the menu item you want it to be subordinated to.
A blue dotted rectangle appears, indented to the right below the target menu item. This indicates the item will become a subordinate item.
If the rectangle appears aligned on the left, the item will only be reordered, not subordinated.
- Drop the menu item.
- Click Save.
You have adjusted the hierarchy of the menu item. In the menu, it is now displayed as a subordinate menu item of the parent menu item.
You can also move multiple menu items that are already subordinate to other menu items.
- In the Studio, navigate to Content > Menu.
- In the space chooser, if available for your organization, select the space where you want to define the hierarchy of menu items.
- Click Move Contents.
The Move Contents dialog opens. - Under From, select the menu item with subordinate content that you want to move.
- Select the checkbox if you want to delete the folder after moving.
- Under Into, select the menu item that the subordinate content of the previously selected menu item should be moved to.
- Click Move.
The subordinate items of the selected menu item have been moved to the desired new location. If the Delete folder after moving option is not selected, the original source menu item remains in the menu, but without its subordinate items. If it is selected, the folder is deleted automatically.
