The cropping feature allows you to remove unselected surroundings of an image. It comes with a crop tool, which can be dragged to a position and resized.
This feature is available for:
- Main images on a news post
- Images added to a news or page editor
Opening the Image's Edit Dialog
Main Image of an Article or Media Post
- In the Studio, navigate to a post to edit its main image.
- Click Edit.
The edit page opens. - Click Edit image detail.

Image in a News Post or Page Editor
- In the Studio, navigate to the page or post in which you want to edit the file you added.
- In the editor, click the file you want to edit.
The edit and remove icons are displayed. - Click the pencil icon to edit.

Cropping an Image
- In the image's edit dialg, drag the crop tool and position it to the part of the image you want to include in the final image.
The crop tool is set to a fixed aspect ratio by default. This fixed aspect ratio is already in the recommended aspect ratio for the image. - Optionally, disable the toggle Fixed aspect ratio to change the fixed aspect ratio of the crop tool.
If you select another aspect ratio, a blurry background is displayed on the right and left sides. - Click Save.
How Users Will View the Image Cropped in the Editor

On saving, the resulting image in the landscape aspect ratio is displayed as it is. |
On saving, the resulting image in the portrait aspect ratio is displayed with a blurry background, unless it is opened in the full-screen mode. |
