Staffbase allows seamless synchronization between your HR systems and the platform. You can configure one or more HR Integrations to meet the diverse needs of your organization’s structure and business needs.
Prerequisites
- You have the administrator or a power user role in the HR system you want to integrate.
Alternatively, you can work with the HR system admin or a power user during the integration setup. - You have the external HR service prepared for the integration. For step-by-step instructions, refer to the setup guide for your HR system:
- You have defined which widgets you want to use:
- Absence
- Payslip
- You have a user identifier for the integration. For example, it can be work email, public email, or remote ID.
Adding the HR Integration in Staffbase
-
In the Studio, navigate to Settings > HR Integrations.
- Click + Add Integration.
-
Choose the desired integration.
-
Click Add.
The Select Unique Identifier dialog opens. - From the Staffbase Studio and selected service dropdowns, select an identifier to map the user data between the two. For example: Remote ID is populated with SAP SuccessFactors field personalIdExternal.
- Click Next.
- Enter the following information and click Submit after each.
- API Server URL
- Username
- Company ID
- Client ID
- Client Secret
You have added the HR integration to the Studio. An editor can add the activated HR widgets to the page for your employees to view the information on their page. Once you complete the integration, the related features of the HR service are activated by default. You can deactivate them at any time.
Verifying the Data Sync
Once the integration is set up, you’ll see a status on the updates against the name of the HR integration. The status automatically syncs every 24 hours. It will show:
- Synced: Integration is active, and data is up to date.
- Incomplete: Connection wasn't properly established.
You can click on the status to see individual data fields that the user has access to. You will see:
- Done: The fields are synced.
-
Failed: The fields couldn’t be completely synced.
