CSV File Example for Staffbase Email

Keeping the user base up to date is one of the most important tasks of administrators. User Import and Sync allows you to do this efficiently from the Studio using CSV files. Learn more about CSV import at Staffbase. If you plan to manage your user data with CSV imports, you first need to set up the CSV file for the import. You can download the attached CSV example and use it as a starting point for your own CSV file.

Ensure that all users have a valid email address. Users without an email address are still imported as contacts, but they do not appear in the Email Designer when selecting a target audience.

CSV File Examples 

Staffbase provides two types of CSV file examples, depending on whether you use Staffbase Email as a standalone product or in combination with the Employee App or Intranet.

If you use Staffbase Email as a standalone product, you must set the language for your users to ensure they receive emails in their preferred language. To do this, add the language of your users using language locales in the CSV file.

If you do not set the correct language locale, it falls back to the default content language of your platform. For example, using German instead of de_DE will revert to English, if English is set as the default language.

CSV File Example Without Language

If you use Staffbase Email together with the Employee App or Intranet, you do not need to set the language for your users in the CSV file. In this case, users can set their preferred language in their Employee App or Intranet.
