Register the devices in your office lounge, reception, or cafeteria with the Device Management feature in Screens. The Screens Device Management page helps you securely display news and content on these devices with the help of a unique code.
This page shows an overview of all devices, their current connection status, and which slideshows are being displayed on which device. This ensures a clear overview and that the relevant content is displayed on each device at any given time.
Device Status
The device is connected when the slideshow is open, linked, and playing. This means there is communication between the browser and the Studio. Hovering over the connection status will provide you information on when the status of the device last changed.
When you close the browser tab or the link is no longer playing on the browser, the device is disconnected. Disconnection can happen when it is:
- Partially disconnected: The device will show as Disconnected when a slideshow link is not opened on a device for more than two hours. When you reopen the slideshow on the device within seven days the status changes to Connected.
- Fully disconnected: The device will show as Disconnected when a slideshow link is not opened on a device for more than seven days. This could happen if there is something wrong with the device or a problem with the internet connection. After seven days, the device pin code will display after reopening the slideshow player.
